Recipe: Schlafly White Lager Cranberry Sauce
Cranberry sauce is super simple, so the only can in the kitchen should be Schlafly’s White Lager. The hint of orange zest in this unfiltered lager pairs perfectly with all of the seasonal flavors in this sauce, plus the festive fragrance will reach every corner of the house.
Ingredients:
12 ounces fresh cranberries
1/3 cup Schlafly White Lager
1/3 cup maple syrup
juice & zest of one orange
1 cinnamon stick
3 thyme sprigs
Combine all ingredients in a pot and bring to a boil. Once the cranberries have been popping for a few minutes, lower the heat and simmer for about 15-20 minutes. The sauce should thicken slightly, but still be a bit runny. Remove from heat, pick out the thyme sprigs, and chill for a few hours before serving.
